In May of 1943, the City of Linwood honored those in service of their country during World War II. The Honor Roll placed on the lawn of City Hall at 16 Poplar Avenue was typical of the honor rolls constructed in other towns throughout the area. The program for the dedication ceremonies listed 131 names of service men and women as of that date. We don't know when the Honor Roll was removed.
