The 45-star flag from 1896 was found in the belfrey of the Old Sea View Baptist Church by a church member who was making repairs.

Called the "Quilt in Memorium" and dated 1911, this quilt was made by members of the Central Methodist Church. The names of 663 people who were probably members of the church are hand-written in each wheel . An alphabetized list of those names is available at the museum. We have no other information on the quilt but suspect it may have been a fund raising project.

Robert Risley was one of Leedsville's most noted citizens and some his descendants still call Linwood their home. His commission to the appointment of Collector of Customs is signed by President John Tyler and is on permanent display. The original tin container in which it was delivered is also part of the museum collection.
