A visit to the Leedsville School Museum

Shore Fast Line Trolley Model by Tom Adams

The original school bell was made by the Meneely Foundry in West Troy NY. It is 20" in diameter, has a 27" yoke and weighs 500 pounds. It is inscribed "Meneely Iron Works, Troy NY 1873". In 1939 city council removed the cupola and gave the bell to the Methodist Camp in Seaville, NJ. In 1989 the Historical Society traded a comparable bell which they installed at the camp and brought the old Leedsville Bell back home.
